After a second straight year of overwhelming interest, 61 players entered the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl Lottery. Of those players, 30 locked up a seat in the year’s most exclusive event. Over the last month, Poker Central has introduced those players, but ARIA’s Super High Roller Bowl VIP selections also need to be introduced. Follow along as Poker Central runs down the rest of the field, from legends of the game to High Roller regulars, successful non-professionals, and more.

Bill Perkins

When High Roller tournaments were first introduced, Bill Perkins was one of the first non-professional players to dive head first into the action. Since then, Perkins has continued to swim with the sharks. Whether it is on his legendary Twitch stream, as a fan-favorite on Poker After Dark, or as one of the game’s biggest prop bettors, the hedge fund manager is always in action and always entertaining. While most of that action has recently come in the form of high stakes cash games, Perkins’ tournament resume features a few sizable results. His best career score came from the 2013 WSOP’s $111,111 One Drop High Roller, where Perkins took home nearly $2,000,000 for a podium finish. Perkins will have another shot at a massive score this summer and win, lose, or draw, he will be one of the most exciting and entertaining players in the field.

Brandon Adams

Over the last year and a half, Brandon Adams has reestablished himself as one of poker’s best. The high stakes regular was fully immersed in the game a decade ago, before turning his attention to other professional pursuits, including teaching economics, daily fantasy sports, and writing. Since his return, Adams has recorded four podium finishes in some of the world’s toughest High Roller events, including a victory in a $50,000 preliminary event in last year’s Poker Masters series. That win was good for an over $800,000 score and more recently, Adams won a $25,000 High Roller at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. Adams’ comeback continues next month, when he makes his Super High Roller Bowl debut and plays the biggest buy-in tournament of his professional poker career.

Antanas “Tony G” Guoga

Prior to 2017, Antanas Guoga had been absent from the poker world. Tony G, who was one of the game’s most exciting and entertaining players during the Poker Boom, left the game to begin a career in politics. Quickly, Guoga went from the high stakes battleground of the world’s biggest poker tournaments to the European Parliament as representative for his native Lithuania. Guoga returned last year, coming out of retirement to compete in the Super High Roller Bowl. While a comeback in the $300,000 buy-in event didn’t yield a cash, Guoga won a $25,000 ARIA High Roller event prior to last year’s Super High Roller Bowl and added a runner-up finish in a $25,000 partypoker LIVE High Roller in Rozvadov. While his appearances are few and far between, compared to a decade ago, Guoga will be an exciting addition to one of the year’s biggest events.
