LAS VEGAS, NV (April 18, 2022) – The PokerGO Tour™ (PGT™) is heading to Venice, Italy, and the oldest casino in the world, Casinò di Venezia, for PGT Italy Presented By Luxon Pay. The high-stakes poker tournament series features eight events ranging in buy-ins from $10,000 to $50,000, running May 26 through May 30.

The 2022 PGT Italy includes a variety of tournament variants. In addition to four no-limit hold’em events on the schedule, the series has two pot-limit Omaha tournaments and two short deck hold’em tournaments. The biggest buy-in of the series is Event #7: $50,000 Short Deck Hold’em on May 29. All PGT Italy tournaments are scheduled as one-day events. On May 28 there will be only one event as organizers have arranged a special party so players can watch the UEFA® Champions League Final.

The elegant Casinò di Venezia has an incredibly rich history. Located along the Grand Canal in Venice, Casinò di Venezia is the oldest casino in the world, first opening its doors in 1638 as a theatre that also housed an area for gambling.

All players to cash in PGT Italy tournaments will score PGT leaderboard points in addition to their cash prize. Live reporting coverage of the 2022 PGT Italy will be available on PGT.com.

The top 21 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard at the end of the 2022 regular season qualify to compete in the 2022 PGT Championship where a $500,000 winner-take-all prize will be up for grabs. Starting chip stacks in the PGT Championship will be based on leaderboard points earned throughout the season.
