The World Poker Tour is back on PokerGO and a stacked WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown final table awaits.

Before we look forward though, to the PokerGO live stream, we have to look back on a record-breaking WPT event. Over 1,300 players converged on Hollywood, Florida to build up the fifth-largest WPT event of all-time. That sizable field means that there is a massive prize pool still up for grabs, with the better part of $4 million set to be awarded at today’s final table.

Chip leader Brian Hastings, who is an online legend with three WSOP bracelets to his credit, is in the best position to take down the $696,740 top prize. Hastings was near the top of the leaderboard through Day 3 and Day 4, before vaulting to the top of the charts during Tuesday’s penultimate day of play.

On the other end of the leaderboard, sits former WPT Player of the Year Faraz Jaka. The nomadic poker professional has done just about everything there is to do on the World Poker Tour, with multiple final table finishes, but he has yet to join the Champions Club. Jaka will have his work cut out for him if he wants to add that line to his resume today, as he comes into today’s PokerGO final table as the short stack.

Between Hastings and Jaka are four experienced professionals with a variety of WPT experience. Joey Couden, who is the closest to Hastings on the leaderboard, and England’s Scott Margereson may not have as much WPT success as Matt Stout or Jeff Fielder, but each boast solid tournament resumes.

In terms of what players have done lately, Fielder should be in the spotlight. The Iowa native is a two-time WPTDeepStacks champion and is looking to make history at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown final table. If Fielder wins today, he will become the first player to ever win a WPTDeepStacks and WPT Main Tour event.

Fielder aside, history will be made today, as a new member of the WPT Champions Club will be crowned live on PokerGO.
