U.S. Poker Open 2022 Schedule: March 16-28

The 2022 U.S. Poker Open features 12 high-stakes poker tournaments at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. The series runs March 16-28, 2022.

The 12-event schedule is a mix of no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, big-bet mix, and eight-game poker tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. The first 11 events allow for double re-entry, and the final event is a single re-entry tournament. Players that are in the tournament registration line by 12 p.m. PT will qualify for a rake-free entry.

The 2022 U.S. Poker Open structure calls for 40-minute levels for the duration of the first 11 tournaments. In the $50,000 finale, level times increase to 60 minutes at the close of registration. Registration is open until the start of Level 7 in all events. All events are two-day events with each day beginning at 12 p.m. PT. A 30-second shot clock will be in play during the 2022 U.S. Poker Open and players begin with six 30-second time extensions.

Does the 2022 U.S. Poker Open Count for the PokerGO Tour?

Yes, all 2022 U.S. Poker Open tournaments officially count as part of the PokerGO Tour (PGT). Players competing in the events can earn points based on the amount they cash for.

The points awarded during the 2022 U.S. Poker Open will also decide who will be crowned the U.S. Poker Open champion. The 2022 U.S. Poker Open champion will win the Golden Eagle Trophy and $50,000 championship bonus that is added to the prizes.

At the end of the 2022 PGT season, the winner will take home a $500,000 prize.

Yes, you can watch the 2022 U.S. Poker Open on PokerGO.com. All U.S. Poker Open final tables will be live-streamed on PokerGO.com, with daily live streams running March 17-28. Every final table will be shown, including the final table from Event #12: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em.

Who Is the U.S. Poker Open Defending Champ?

David Peters is the U.S. Poker Open defending champion. In fact, Peters is the two-time defending champion after winning the series in 2021 and 2019 (there was no U.S. Poker Open held in 2020 due to the pandemic). In 2021, Peters won three tournaments as part of that year’s series. He cashed four times total for $832,950. In 2019, Peters had one win and three cashes for $1,584,800 total. Coincidentally, Sean Winter finished runner-up to Peters on both the 2021 and 2019 U.S. Poker Open leaderboards.

Peters has the most U.S. Poker Open tournament wins to date with five victories.

In the first installment of the U.S. Poker Open in 2018, Stephen Chidwick was the series champion.
