Tony Miles assumed the chip lead on the second day of the 2018 Main Event final table on PokerGO. Miles busted Joe Cada and now holds two-thirds of the total chips in play heading to the homestretch. Cada’s amazing attempt at another Main Event win is on the shelf but we may yet see the three-time bracelet winner pick up more hardware in upcoming years.

The road to get to this stage in Miles’ life was not easy for him and he making the most of his rebirth from problems with addiction to being two opponents away from winning $8.8 million.

John Cynn and Michael Dyer are the only obstacles left for Miles to overcome. If Miles does, he steps into the winner’s circle to claim poker’s top prize.

Dyer held the chip lead for most of the first part of the final table but Miles got the best of him numerous time in the journey from six-handed to three-handed play.

Cynn is on the tournament podium after finishing 11th in 2016 but only a win will truly satisfy the battle-tested player. Nic Manion busted to Cynn but is feeling the good vibes after turning a satellite freeroll into a $2.825 million score.

Miles’ rail is going to be ready to cheer on their guy as they did on Day 2 of the final table that was captured through the lens of Drew Amato.

Final table coverage is scheduled to start at 9:00 pm ET on PokerGO and airs simultaneously on ESPN until a champion is crowned. A full schedule of the PokerGO Main Event schedule can be found here. Find all World Series of Poker final tables from 2018 by subscribing to PokerGO today.
