Tony Dunst Wins WSOP Online $777 NLH 6-Handed for $168,342 and Second WSOP Bracelet

The 2020 World Series of Poker Online would see a 1,361-entrant field create a $952,700 prize pool in Event #21: $777 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed as 206 players finished in-the-money. After nearly 11 hours on the virtual felt, WPT Commentator Tony “Panoramic” Dunst would collect the $168,342 first-place prize and his second WSOP bracelet.

After Mark “bansman” Bansemer was eliminated on the money bubble, WSOP bracelet winners Anthony “heheh” Zinno, David “SolidCrusher” Brookshire, Michael “itWasThatOr0” Gagliano, Layne “scoop87” Flack, Phil “Lumestackin” Hellmuth, Joe “fanofdapoker” McKeehen, Michael “MiguelFiesta” Lech, Joey “yeezy4pres” Couden, Ryan “Protential” Laplante, Jason “haderade” Somerville, Kyle “Vin_Gambini” Bowker, Andrew “WATCHGUY42” Lichtenberger, Ryan “bitc0in” Riess, Max “MaxSparrow” Pescatori, Ari “PhilIvey” Engel, Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu, Alan “GladiusIII” Goehring, Ankush “rickrosstheb” Mandavia, and Randy “StayAlive” Ohel were all eliminated before the final table was reached.

Dunst entered the final table holding the chip lead and immediately extended it at the expense of Jon “havuuuuuc” Turner when his ace-nine was outdrawn by Dunst’s king-jack. Krista “Pollux” Gifford would then fall in fifth-place when her king-ten couldn’t outdraw Dunst’s kings to see the WPT Commentator hold more than 13 million in chips to the combined 3 million of his remaining three opponents. Charles “IloseStackz” Phillips then bowed out in fourth place when his jack-eight couldn’t outdraw James “paymycollege” Pace’s ace-ten. Alec “Tango_Bravo” Parslow would settle for third when his ace-king was outdrawn by Dunst’s ace-nine as he made a runner-runner straight to take a nearly two-to-one advantage into heads-up play. The chip stacks grew close to even before the defining hand saw Dunst make a flush to double against Pace’s straight. Pace was down to less than a big blind, and after he doubled, he would run his six-three into the aces of Dunst. No help outside of a gutshot straight draw came for Pace, and he was eliminated in second as Dunst was crowned the Event #21 champion.

Dunst won his first WSOP bracelet in 2016 when he won Event #63: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $339,254, and nearly won his second in 2019 after finishing runner-up in Event #89: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em to Carl Shaw. To go along over $3.8 million in lifetime tournament earnings and title as WPT Commentator, Dunst also has a WPT title to his name – and now a second WSOP bracelet.
