Drew Amato has been covering the World Series of Poker since 2014. This year he’s covered the U.S. Poker Open and Super High Roller Bowl for Poker Central. During the 2018 Poker Masters, Amato will share his favorite images and storylines in a daily article.

The 2018 Poker Masters have been nothing short of spectacular, and last night it was Ali Imsirovic who did the unthinkable by winning his second straight event. Imsirovic holds a commanding lead in the Purple Jacket race, but some of the worlds best can still catch him. Here’s a photo recap of the $50,000 Event #6 final table.

With as strong of a year as it's been for Justin Bonomo, it should come as no surprise to see him at a final table. The Poker Masters hasn't necessarily gone his way thus far, but Bonomo is officially on the board with his 6th place finish yesterday. While the purple jacket may be out of reach, it wouldn't surprise me to see him make a run in the 100k Main Event.

With just one event left in the 2018 Poker Masters, all eyes are on Ali Imsirovic. With the back to back wins, Imsirovic now leads the race for the prestigious Poker Masters Purple Jacket. Only a handful of players can still catch Imsirovic, but if he can piece together another deep run, the young pro can complete his dream run.

With a resume littered with high roller results, Koray Aldemir is no stranger to the big stage. Yesterday was Aldemir's first cash of the series, as he managed to navigate his way into 2nd place right behind Imsirovic. The two went back and forth, exchanging the chip lead numerous times, but eventually Aldemir would fall just short of the title, taking home $517,000.
