The ongoing series of photo blogs titled ‘Through the Lens’ gives our photographers a chance to show off their best pictures for you to enjoy. Today, we introduce to you a new photographer as Las Vegas local Enrique Malfavon recaps his first week ever at the World Series of Poker.

Having been a photographer for seven years, I’ve only been shooting poker for a little under a year. So far, my first World Series of Poker as a photographer has been quite overwhelming! It’s been great to see the huge crowds of both players and fans in all the rooms, and here are my favorite photos of the week.

Friends and family show their support from the rail.
The rail is always deep with fans when Daniel Negreanu is making a run.

A great moment happened during the final table of the $1,500 Omaha Eight-or-Better Split event as the WSOP staff celebrated Joseph Aronesty’s birthday by bringing out a nice cake for him.

Seth Palansky readying the cake for the birthday boy.

Every week, until the end of the Main Event, you can enjoy my photo blogs as I recap the action. Here are two more of my favorite shots that I’ve done so far.

Ping Liu: Focused.
There’s a lot more of these beautiful WSOP gold bracelets up for grabs, so stay tuned for much more!
