Stephen Chidwick and Michael Addamo Climb PGT Leaderboard Following Triton Madrid

The second season of the PokerGO Tour (PGT) continues with 75 events now complete following Triton Madrid. With 13 events at Triton Madrid, the entire PGT leaderboard has been shaken up with over 21,000 PGT points being awarded to 66 players as over $44 million in prize money was awarded. Stephen Chidwick was the biggest mover climbing into second place overall after winning one event and cashing three times for over $3.3 million. Mikita Badziakouski won one event and cashed twice to rise into seventh overall, while Australian Michael Addamo won two Triton events and now sits just outside the top ten.

Triton Madrid played out from Casino Gran Via in Madrid, Spain, from May 13-25, 2022, with 13 events throughout the series. The three most successful players at the stop were three PGT regulars with Stephen Chidwick topping the Triton Madrid leaderboard with 1,317 points on the back of his €100,000 Short Deck Main Event win for $1.8 million. One of Chidwick’s other cashes was a runner-up finish to Michael Addamo who won the €75,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $1,152,086 in prize money, as well as the €20,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $478,000.

Rising into fourth place on the PGT leaderboard is Daniel Dvoress who cashed three times for over $1.8 million, while Danny Tang sits in fifth place after cashing five times for over $1.6 million in prize money. Jason Koon sits in sixth place on the back of his €150,000 Short Deck win for $1,750,000, while Mikita Badziakouski sits seventh overall following his €50,000 No-Limit Hold’em win.

Entering the PGT leaderboard top ten for the first time is Elton Tsang who sits in tenth overall following his three Triton Madrid cashes.

What’s at Stake?

PGT players are all eyeing a seat in the season-ending PGT Championship where the top 21 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard will earn their seat into the $500,000 winner-take-all freeroll to crown the PGT Championship winner for 2022.

What’s Next On the PGT?

Upcoming on the 2022 PokerGO Tour is PGT Italy which will run from May 26-30 with a total of eight events playing out at Casinò di Venezia in Venice, Italy. Following the conclusion of PGT Italy, attention will be turned to the 2022 World Series of Poker where there will be 25 PGT-qualifying events.

For high roller players, there will also be 14 ARIA High Roller tournaments playing out from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino with buy-ins all at $10,000.
