The 2020 World Series of Poker Online continued on Friday with Event #17: $777 No-Limit Hold’em attracting a 1,382-entrant field which created a prize pool of $967,400. WPT Champion and WSOP-Circuit ring winner Pat ” IchiiKawawa” Lyons would break through to win his first WSOP bracelet and the $173,551 first-place prize.

The 2020 World Series of Poker Online bracelet event final tables are streamed live nightly on the Poker Central YouTube channel, PokerGO Facebook page and World Series of Poker Twitch channel. The unique buy-in amount saw a stacked field entering the tournament to kick off the weekend action for WSOP Online. With only 207 players finishing in-the-money, it would be “ejanicom” being eliminated on the money bubble before WSOP bracelet winners Max “MaxSparrow” Pescatori, Dan “PepperPrince” Zack, Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu, Randy “StayAlive” Ohel, Anthony “heheh” Zinno, Upeshka “gomezhamburg” De Silva, Chris “Robotbob47” Moorman, Ben “WhyIsGamora” Yu, and Ryan Leng all fell short of the final table.

Barry “_MLB_” Wenger entered the final table as chip leader and eliminated Event #16 runner-up Julian “Julian” Parmann in eighth-place, Scott “BudLightLime” Hempel in seventh, and Jim “Bocaratone” Collopy in fifth. Down to the final four, Event #1 winner Jonathan “Art.Vandelay” Dokler’s run at being the first two-time WSOP Online bracelet winner would come to an end to the one-man wrecking machine Wenger. Lyons however held a commanding chip lead and sent Wenger to the rail in third place before he eliminated Christopher “NJ_GLive” Ginley in second. Following a button raise from Ginley holding ace-king, Lyons shoved with queen-nine suited and Ginley called. Both players flopped a pair, but when Lyons rivered trip queens, he would be crowned the Event #17 champion.
