The biggest week of ARIA’s year began with Day 1 of the first-ever WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic. The Season XVI finale, which will be followed by the WPT Tournament of Champions and the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl on PokerGO, drew 150 players through the first 10 levels of play. While registration remains open until the start of Day 2, WPT Champions Club Kevin Eyster and some other big names have separated themselves at the top of the leaderboard.

While Eyster leads with 175,000, Joe McKeehen and Tom Marchese are not far behind that pace. McKeehen, who won the 2015 WSOP Main Event, bagged just shy of 168,000, while Marchese, who is one of the best High Roller tournament players on earth, finished with 166,000.

Jonathan Little, WPT Five Diamond winner Ryan Tosoc, Jared Jaffee, Poker Masters champion Steffen Sontheimer, and Tim Reilly round out the top-ten.

Eyster, Tosoc, and Jaffee aren’t the only Champions Club members to advance to Day 2. Dietrich Fast, Justin Young, Seth Davies, and Erik Seidel all bagged over two starting stacks. Davies is the star of PokerGO’s new documentary series INSIDERS and Seidel is the only player in history to cash twice in the Super High Roller Bowl.

With registration open until 12 PM PT on Monday, prize pool information won’t be available until Day 2 of the WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic begins. For live updates, follow along on WPT.com, and subscribe to PokerGO to watch the final table on Wednesday.
