The fourth installment of the U.S. Poker Open took center stage from inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with 12 events throughout the series. Japan’s Tamon Nakamura played incredibly throughout his first PGT series and cashed six times while also winning the Big Bet Mix and 8-Game events. Nakamura was in the driver’s seat for winning the U.S. Poker Open Championship and Golden Eagle Trophy as he amassed 588 points to see him climb into 14th place on the PGT leaderboard.

Unfortunately for Nakamura, he would be denied on the final lap of the series by Sean Winter who won the final two events to take the top spot on the U.S. Poker Open leaderboard after finishing runner-up the previous two years to David Peters. Following Winter’s two big wins, he moves into fourth overall on the PGT leaderboard. At the top of the PGT leaderboard, Tony Sinishtaj dropped two spots back as Isaac Kempton took the top spot after reaching two Pot-Limit Omaha final tables, while Ali Imsirovic’s three cashes moved him into second place overall on the PGT leaderboard.

What’s at Stake?
