Dylan Weisman Headlines $25K Pot-Limit Omaha Final Table with Stephen Chidwick and Ali Imsirovic

The impressive run for Dylan Weisman continues at the 2022 U.S. Poker Open as he finds himself leading the Event #10: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha final table. Weisman is a stalwart at all the Omaha tournaments held inside the PokerGO Studio, and during this series, he has cashed in all three Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments and the Big Bet Mix – with those being the only four tournaments he has played.

Weisman finished with 2,480,000 in chips to headline the Event #10 final table that is set to stream exclusively on PokerGO.com at 4 p.m. ET. Weisman will be joined by Matthew Wantman, Cary Katz, Stephen Chidwick, defending 2021 PokerGO Tour Player of the Year Ali Imsirovic, and current 2022 PokerGO Tour leader Isaac Kempton. The final six have all locked up $73,500 in prize money, but all eyes are on the $416,500 first-place prize and PGT trophy.

The final Pot-Limit Omaha event of the 2022 U.S. Poker Open would see the stakes raised to $25,000 as it attracted a total of 49 entrants and created a prize pool of $1,225,000. Once play progressed to the final two tables, a double knockout of Alex Livingston and Joseph Cheong would put the final eight on the bubble. Sam Soverel lost a pot to Imsirovic before running flush-into-flush to be eliminated on the money bubble.

As the final seven merged to one table, action slowed as Imsirovic continued to extend his chip lead. Unfortunately for Imsirovic, he would send a few pots in the direction of Wantman and Katz, while Weisman took his chance to climb the leaderboard. On the final hand of the night, Weisman flopped a full house and managed to get all of Brewer’s chips on the river to end play for the evening.

This is Weisman’s fourth cash of the series from four tournaments where he previously finished fifth, fifth, and sixth. With his overwhelming chip lead, he is a favorite to improve on those finishers, and if he can finish in third-place or better, it will be the biggest cash of his poker career. Katz sits in second overall, but he spent the majority of the final table on the other end of the leaderboard. Two back-to-back doubles rocketed Katz up the chip counts, and he’ll sit just ahead of WPT Champions Club member Wantman who finished seventh in the previous $15,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event.

Rounding out the bottom half of the final table is Chidwick, Imsirovic, and Kempton. Chidwick has three previous Pot-Limit Omaha titles with a $10,000 buy-in or more, while Imsirovic has never won a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament. Imsirovic is fresh off his 2021 PokerGO Tour Player of the Year award, and on the current 2022 standings, he currently sits fifth overall. Imsirovic is eyeing Kempton who sits atop the 2022 standings with 1,331 points on the back of his Wynn Millions Main Event runner-up finish and third-place finish in the $15,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event early in the series.
