Wynn Millions Champion Tony Sinishtaj Tops PGT Leaderboard

The second season of the PokerGO Tour (PGT) is running now and there are 26 events now complete following the recent Wynn Millions series. A handful of PGT-qualifying events took place during the 2022 Wynn Millions series, with Tony Sinishtaj emerging as the biggest winner of them all. With his recent success, Sinishtaj climbed to the top of the PGT leaderboard.

High roller action headed to Wynn Las Vegas last week where five high roller tournaments and the Wynn Millions played out. Jake Schindler and Daniel Negreanu won the first two high rollers of the series before the Wynn Millions $10,000 Main Event began. Following a successful inaugural running in 2021, this year’s installment attracted a 1,075-entrant field and created a prize pool of $10,105,000. PGT regulars Michael Lang (103rd), Sergio Aido (91st), Brock Wilson (41st), and Joey Weissman (29th), Thomas Boivin (10th), Sean Perry (8th), and Vanessa Kade (4th) all finished in the money, while Tony Sinishtaj defeated Isaac Kempton heads-up to collect the $1,655,952 first-place prize. Sinishtaj now sits on top of the PGT leaderboard heading into the U.S. Poker Open, while Kempton sits in second and Perry sits in third.

While the Wynn Millions $10,000 Main Event was playing down, three more Wynn High Rollers were run. Event #3: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em attracted 60 entrants and saw Ali Imsirovic defeat Matas Cimbolas to claim his fourth victory of 2022. Event #4: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em attracted a whopping 73 entrants as Bin Weng defeated Ren Lin heads-up to pocket the $189,800 first-place prize. The final high roller of the series was Event #5: $15,000 No-Limit Hold’em which saw Brekstyn Schutten defeat DoorDash co-founder Stanley Tang to win the $219,300 first-place prize. Perry finished in eighth place to rocket him over the 1,000-point mark.

What’s at Stake?

PGT players are all eyeing a seat in the season-ending PGT Championship where the top 21 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard will earn their seat into the $500,000 winner-take-all freeroll to crown the PGT Championship winner for 2022. Upcoming on the PGT schedule is the PGT Heads-Up Showdown where a seat will be reserved for the top 16 players following the completion of the U.S. Poker Open, while the remaining 16 seats will be set aside for PokerGO invitees.

What’s Next On the PGT?

Upcoming on the 2022 PokerGO Tour is the U.S. Poker Open that will run from March 16-28 from inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Following the conclusion of the 2022 U.S. Poker Open, the PokerGO Tour will venture internationally for the first time in 2022 with Triton Cyprus and Super High Roller Series Europe playing out from the Merit Royal Hotel Casino & Spa in North Cyprus from April 2-15, 2022. Following Super High Roller Series Europe, high roller action will return to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a series of ARIA High Rollers and the inaugural PGT Heads-Up Showdown from April 20-23, 2022.
