Germanium Detectors

P-type coaxial

The most popular germanium detector geometry. These detectors are used in environmental counting at power plants, commercial and government laboratories and in several industrial applications and have a broad energy response range.

N-type coaxial

The ultra-thin external dead layer extends the usable energy range of these detectors to below 5 KeV. N-types are more resilient to particle damage and are the detector of choice for in situ applications where neutrons may be present.

Well Detectors

These detectors can be used as high efficiency counters for low activity samples as well as typical P-type coaxial style counting. PGT well detectors utilize hole-thru design and a variety of low background cryostat options that allow for premium low energy performance.

Planar and Semi-Planar Detectors

Planars utilize P-type crystals for lower energy gamma and X-ray spectroscopy. Semi-Planars vary from 200 mm2 area to 3800mm2 area and are made from N-type crystals. Semi-Planars are used in a variety of applications including Pb-210 studies and in-vivo lung monitoring.

Cryostat Options

PGT nuclear detectors are available in a variety of cryostat options. Vertical dipstick, low background configurations and materials and the largest variety of portable configurations are available.

Si(Li), IGX X-ray and Sahara silicon drift detectors are used in X-ray research and industrial applications.

Quantum System 8000

Complete spectroscopy electronics package including low voltage and high voltage power supplies, spectroscopy amplifier and ADC/MCA. Available in 8K or 16K channel capacity. Quantum MCA software is included for PC control of all hardware functions, spectrum acquisition and qualitative analysis. RS-232 and Ethernet capable.

Quantum System 4000G

4K channel version of the Quantum System 8000 with faster ADC for higher rate spectroscopy.

Quantum 4000 MCA

Stand alone ADC/MCA available in 1K, 2K, or 4K options. Unit includes Quantum MCA software for hardware control and spectrum acquisition and qualitative analysis.

Quantum 8000 MCA

Stand alone ADC/MCA available in 8K or 16K options. Unit includes Quantum MCA software for hardware control and spectrum acquisition and qualitative analysis. Ethernet or RS-232 capable.

Quantum 2100R

Complete stand alone NaI spectroscopy package. System includes high voltage and low voltage supplies, preamplifier, spectroscopy amplifier and ADC/MCA. Choice of 256 or 512 channel memory and includes QCC™ spectroscopy option for the fastest and most accurate isotope identification available.

Quantum MCA

Standard software package included with all PGT spectrometers and MCAs. Controls all hardware functions, PC communications and spectrum acquisition and qualitative analysis.

Quantum Ge

Includes Quantum MCA and also performs qualitative analysis for germanium and NaI detectors and includes sophisticated nuclide libraries and detector modeling programs. This unit supports all PGT products.

Quantum Ge/D

Includes Quantum MCA and also performs qualitative analysis and peak deconvolution for germanium and NaI detectors and includes sophisticated nuclide libraries and detector modeling programs. This software supports all PGT products.

Quantum Gold

Includes Quantum MCA and also performs qualitative analysis and peak deconvolution for germanium and NaI detectors and includes sophisticated nuclide libraries and detector modeling programs. Quantum Gold also includes QCC™ which allows for the fastest and most accurate isotopic ID available with NaI spectroscopy. This software supports all PGT products.

Quantum NaI

Includes Quantum MCA and also includes QCC™ analysis and sophisticated nuclide and detector modeling libraries.

Sodium Iodide Detectors and Accessories

PGT can provide standard style and well style detectors in a variety of sizes. We can also provide special detectors and tub bases for general applications with our Quantum 2100R or other counting systems.

MCA2500R QCC/Linear Digital Multi-Channel Analyzer

The Model MCA2500R is a new, fully digital Multi-Channel Analyzer designed for NaI based nuclear spectroscopy across a broad spectrum of applications. The new design offers many new features previously reserved for far more expensive MCA systems.
