Nuclear Spectroscopy
PGT manufactures hyperpure germanium detectors for gamma ray spectroscopy as well as support electronics and software. Detector styles include P-types, N-types, well counters and low energy detectors. Electronics include complete spectroscopy systems as well as multi-channel analyzer component systems with software for data acquisition and qualitative and quantitative analysis. PGT offers NaI detectors and analyzers for the best NaI spectroscopy available.
Detectors for Research
PGT manufactures a variety of Si(Li) and germanium spectrometers for X-ray analysis. A variety of crystal sizes are available for X-ray spectroscopy from light elements to > 100 KeV. PGT offers stand-alone spectrometer and MCA packages. PGT solid state X-ray systems offer the highest resolution spectroscopy . Multi-Element Array detectors increase throughput and improve geometry to achieve the ultimate in data analysis. Electronically cooled detector options are available.
Detectors for Industry
PGT Si(Li), IGX and Silicon Drift Detectors are available in specialized configurations for XRF and other in-situ and bench-top industrial applications. Detector preamplifiers are optimized for low noise and high throughput. Detector mounting techniques virtually eliminate the effects of ambient acoustic noise on the data. Detector crystal size is optimized for energy range of interest and energy resolution requirements.
Scintillators
PGT is now offering a range of NaI, CsI, plastic and other scintillators. Applications for these materials range from medical, industrial, benchtop measurements and homeland security. New, larger Sodium Iodide detectors offer excellent sensitivity for portals and geo-physical applications.
