Lead Shields

PGT offers shielding to accompany its range of high-purity germanium and sodium iodide detectors. Each is described in the following section. PGT shields are made of the finest low-background lead available. Some particular shield dimensions depend on the specific detector being used. If a shield is being purchased to be used with an existing detector, please furnish the end-cap diameter, end-cap length, and the cryostat configuration. This information will ensure that the detector and shield have a proper fit. You may also contact a PGT sales engineer for more specific information.
