Detector Parameters
One of the main features of the automated setup process is the detector parameter information window. Detector design and operational parameters can be entered in this window thereby assisting the software with the automatedhardware setup. Once this information is entered for a particular detector, it can be quickly recalled if the detector is changed. Any number of NaI detector configurations can be entered.
Information for the detector model is also obtained from this screen. The detector model is an analytical feature that creates a theoretical performance model for the detector. It is created during the calibration process. It facilitates a quick comparison between the real performance data (e.g. the efficiency curve) and the theoretical data. A gross difference may indicate that something is wrong with the detector or electronics.
