PGT Announces Change in Ownership

Rocky Hill, NJ - Princeton Gamma-Tech Instruments, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Princeton Gamma-Tech, Inc., located in Rocky Hill, NJ. The purchase was completed on Friday, February 18, 2005. Princeton Gamma-Tech Instruments, Inc. is wholly owned by an investment group led by Finn Partners, based in California.

PGT is a world-class provider of X-ray Microanalysis systems, X-ray and Gamma-ray detectors, and Nuclear instrumentation. "We are all very excited about what this purchase will mean for our customers" said Chris Cox, President of Princeton Gamma-Tech Instruments, Inc. "Our new investors are committed to developing new technology as we continue to serve our customers' requirements in all respects under our new corporate name".

PGT was founded in 1965 by Drs. Joseph Baicker and Alden Sayres to produce semiconductor radiation detectors of lithium-compensated germanium for nuclear physics research laboratories. Since then, it has become a world leader in the commercial development of energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) systems, high resolution digital imaging and analysis systems, and high performance germanium photon detectors.
